As part of our precision manufacturing, you will support the production of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics for our high-tech small series, single part and prototype production.

Quality engineer

Your tasks

Goal of the position:
Independently ensuring the quality of the product from the beginning of production to shipping to the customer, especially for complex components and assemblies, as well as the implementation of efficient production processes and compliance with company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Contact person for production and engineering areas for quality-related questions
• Processing internal deviations: o Processing error reports from the production areas o Obtaining decisions on further procedures and the release of defective parts o Suggesting, developing and maintaining limit samples
• Customization and support in the creation of AAW and training materials for manufacturing
• Creation of the Q report: o Blocking or releasing the end product for shipping or initiating rework on the product o Archiving the Q reports
• Creating and setting DNs
• Processing of complaints including creation of 8D reports
• Tracking and processing of quality-relevant measures or work packages/medium-term continuous improvement topics (e.g. PCCSIM, 4D, “after care” AIR)
• Creation of evaluations and preparation of key figures, e.g. regular reporting
• Preparation and representation of quality issues on the shop floor / NTB
• Participation in Factory Berlin projects (QM and Factory Quality)
• Participation in the creation of FMEAs

Conducting internal audits

• Training/instructions for employees in production regarding quality issues and further development of quality awareness in the company
• Participation in meetings with internal stakeholders and sometimes external customers
• Creation and maintenance of the limit sample catalog Quality engineers work with stakeholders from Operations, D&E and occasionally in exchange with other ASML locations.

your qualification

Education:

• Scientific or technical university degree or equivalent qualification with relevant knowledge of quality management methods (e.g. Six Sigma, PDCA, CI)

Professional experience/personal requirements:

• QA experience in the production of technical products
• Previous knowledge of common quality methods (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)
• Good technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings
• Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Working independently (in coordination with the group management)
• Expertise in the area of ​​quality (SPC, Perf. Man)
• Business fluent English skills
