At our location in Berlin, our employees manufacture key components for the ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing, you will support the production of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics for our high-tech small series, single part and prototype production.

With specific R&D and manufacturing know-how, we develop and produce components for ASML Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) systems, including wafer panels, reticle chucks and mirror blocks. Our technical know-how in precision manufacturing, coupled with our expertise in optical manufacturing technology, makes us the global competence center for optics and wafer chuck technology within the ASML family.

Head of Engineering

Your tasks

• Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as constant further development of the directly assigned engineering areas (Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance) with their specialist group leaders.
• Development and improvement of existing products and processes in manufacturing
• Develop and advance the roadmap for introducing new products (NPI) and processes in manufacturing
• Supporting production to ensure the quantity targets as well as planning and controlling process flows
• Collaboration and management of internal interfaces with the neighboring Program, D&E and Technology departments
• Collaboration with the international teams on global development and integration processes (Veldhoven, Wilton, etc.)
• Responsibility for structural and process optimization (e.g. when adjusting the product mix and product volume, approach to improving throughput time, process quality/yield)
• Preparation and follow-up of CAPEX planning
• Realization of the implementation of budget and investment planning as well as medium to long-term scheduling and resource planning in coordination with production, development, technology and program management
• Production controlling and regular reporting of the relevant key figures
• Stakeholder management
• Selection of new employees, cross-departmental personnel management and responsibility for the employees' goal achievement
• Responsible for creating a work environment in the area where employees feel challenged, motivated, add value and can develop

your qualification

• Master's/Diploma degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field of study
• Several years of experience in engineering high-tech products
• At least five years of experience in a leadership role
• Professional experience in an international high-tech environment is an advantage
• Experience in the successful implementation of optimization projects
• Good knowledge of Six Sigma
• Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications, e.g. E.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• ERP knowledge, ideally SAP
• Very good spoken and written German and English
