As a wholly owned subsidiary of the University Hospital Cologne, we offer outpatient care at the highest level in our four socially independent medical care centers. In this way, the special competence of university medicine can also be offered in the outpatient area. Our medical care centers are therefore an important component in enabling better integration of inpatient and outpatient care at the University Hospital in Cologne. We are looking for a dedicated person to join our ophthalmology department as soon as possible

Secretary (f/m/d) for patient admission and private liquidation

in full and part time.
The position is to be filled indefinitely.

What awaits you:

  • Leadership, organization and management of the private consultation hours for senior physicians in the focus on retinal diseases and vitreoretinal surgery
  • acceptance of patients
  • Telephone appointment
  • Processing of service billing (GOÄ)
  • Creation of e.g. doctor's letters, surgical reports, certificates, prescriptions
  • Preparation of patients (e.g. administering eye drops)

This is what we want:

  • Completed professional training as a medical assistant or doctor’s assistant or a comparable qualification in the healthcare sector or commercial training combined with professional experience in the healthcare sector and in the areas of registration, reception or secretariat
  • Professional experience in the field of ophthalmology/career changer with relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in accounting (GOÄ) desirable
  • Professional appearance, pronounced service orientation as well as good communication skills, pronounced discretion and loyalty.
  • High organizational skills

  • Commitment, responsibility and diligence
